Sign this petition - STOP Eviction of the Mau OGIEK and Forest Communities in Kenya

Stop the evictions of Ogiek and all forest communities that have been living in harmony with nature for generations. These communities are the guardians of the forest, protecting its biodiversity and ecosystem services. They have customary rights to their lands and resources, which are recognized by international law and the Constitution.

Ogiek Face Evictions Despite African Court’s Judgment

The Ogiek community, residing in the Maasai Mau Forest, particularly in the regions of Sasimwani and Nkareta, is facing an impending humanitarian crisis as local authorities, acting on directives from higher authorities, have issued eviction orders to the community. These orders compel the Ogiek to vacate their ancestral lands immediately, without regard for their well-being or future.
