Alessandra\ Macrì
Alessandra Macrì holds an LL.M. in Human Rights from the University of Vienna and a Master’s degree in Philosophy, specialising in Indian Philosophy and Sanskrit, including a research period in India on religious texts, sacred sites and temple traditions. Her work focuses on the rights of Indigenous Peoples, with particular attention to the legal protection of sacred natural sites within the framework of the right to Freedom of Religion or Belief. She has supported international advocacy and intergovernmental processes, including the 24th Session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, the 51st Session of the WIPO Intergovernmental Committee, and the 18th Session of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
