Maryann Panoho
Maryann Panoho is an Indigenous wāhine Māori (Ngāpuhi) from Aotearoa New Zealand. Maryann recently received her BA/LLB degree from the University of Auckland and now joins The University of Arizona Master of Laws under the IPLP program. Maryann is also working as a Graduate Teaching Fellow in Professor Robert A. Williams' Contract, Torts, and Property BA in Law Course. Whilst studying for her BA/LLB Maryann worked as the Head Tutor and a Jurisprudence tutor in the law faculty where she managed a team of Māori teaching fellows and taught 3rd year Māori law students. During this time Maryann also worked as a Law Clerk for a Māori law firm with a focus on iwi and hapū work. Maryann worked with many clients in the areas of Māori health, Māori women's rights, Māori environmental law, and prepared Briefs of Evidence to be presented to the Waitangi Tribunal.
